Victoria Paris re-imagining leather

Victoria Paris is a luxury vegan handbag brand encompassing the traditions of French “savoir-faire,” inspired by the expansion of international trade routes and a mix of cross-cultural influences. Imagined by designer Laura Aguilera, Victoria Paris introduces their sustainable vegan collection Pause to take steps to minimize an environmental impact.

As advocates of conscious consumerism over fast fashion, the creators at Victoria Paris stand by a veganism mandate: a lifestyle choice that’s about protecting animals and avoiding the use of objects made from animals, animal by-products or by using animal testing.

They understand that leather is not just a by-product of the meat industry. Raising animals for food and leather requires massive amounts of feed, pastureland, water and fossil fuels. Turning skin into leather requires massive amounts of energy and dangerous chemicals, including mineral salts, formaldehyde, coal-tar derivatives, various oils, dyes and finishes, many of which are cyanide based. People who work in tanneries or live close by often suffer from cancer and lung damage caused by the exposure to toxic chemicals used to process and dye the leather. Leather not only causes suffering in animals but also causes harm to our environment and the people who have to produce it.

Victoria Paris’ beautiful handbags are made of a unique leather derived from cactus, making them PETA approved vegan. And because it’s made of cactus, this also means for low water consumption of its material growth and production. Apart from the hardware the bag is biodegradable and free of toxic chemicals.

High quality and improved performance are the essence of the collection. And the fusion of fabrics and precious metals are used to create a truly premium product.

Their handbags are handcrafted with the best quality vegan and raw materials to deliver reliability and beauty at first sight.

The brand aims for it’s worldwide launch mid-2020, offering a pre-sale of its’ first model Cereus, created with a sustainable material made of cactus in a color palette of rich, earthy and neutral tones.
